چکیده

Input-output conformance test theory for discrete systems has established itself in research and industry already. A couple of years ago also input-output conformance test theories for timed systems were defined. The next step is to develop conformance test theory for hybrid systems as well. In this report we present a conformance relation for model-based testing of hybrid systems and we formalize tests for hybrid

Symbolic Input-Output Conformance Checking for Model-Based Mutation Testing

This paper presents an approach to use symbolic input output conformance checking for mutation-based test case generation. In this approach, a possibly non-deterministic action system model is used as basis for generating a number of mutants. Subsequently after the generation of mutants, the original model and the mutants are simultaneously symbolically executed and tested for conformance. Dist...

A Formal Framework of Hybrid Test Cases Generation Applied to Embedded Systems

In this paper, we describe a formal framework for conformance testing of continuous and hybrid systems, using the international standard ’Formal Methods in Conformance Testing’ FMCT. We propose a novel test coverage measure for these systems, which is defined using the star discrepancy notion. This coverage measure is used to quantify the validation ’completeness’. It is also used to guide inpu...

Constraint-Based Heuristic On-line Test Generation from Non-deterministic I/O EFSMs

We are investigating on-line model-based test generation from non-deterministic output-observable Input/Output Extended Finite State Machine (I/O EFSM) models of Systems Under Test (SUTs). We propose a novel constraint-based heuristic approach (Heuristic Reactive Planning Tester (χRPT)) for on-line conformance testing non-deterministic SUTs. An indicative feature of χRPT is the capability of ma...

Does this fault lead to failure? Combining refinement and input-output conformance checking in fault-oriented test-case generation

In this paper we describe an advanced test-case generation technique that is implemented in our model-based test-case generator MoMuT::UML. The tool injects faults into a UML model and analyses if the faults propagate to the interface. If a fault does propagate to an observable failure, an explaining sequence of events is generated and converted into a test-case scenario. The faults are detecte...

Test Generation with Inputs, Outputs, and Quiescence

This paper studies testing based on labelled transition systems , using the assumption that implementations communicate with their environment via inputs and outputs. Such implementations are formalized by restricting the class of transition systems to those systems that can always accept input actions, as in input/output automata. Implementation relations, formalizing the notion of conformance...
